Easier, cooler than a rain jacket So far I’ve only had a chance to walk around my yard in a downpour without a pack but I stayed nice and dry. I’m hoping to have a real test in the near future. The seams look good and the tape is applied evenly so I don’t expect any leaks. Depending on how this one performs I’d like to get a pair for my kids (they walk home from school). Great backpacking poncho My girlfriend and I just used these for a four-day backpacking trip. We had 3 days with light to moderate rains and they worked great at keeping us dry. Very quick and easy to put on, a bit more difficult to take off as they do get hung up on the pack. No leaks. The bill keeps water from dripping in your face like cheap ponchos though you have to be careful no to crush it up when packing.
