WORKS GREAT WHEN NOT MOUNTED IN CAR First, let me say this is a nicely made compass. It mounts easily to the dashboard with adhesive tape. The light is nice and bright. It looks good and is easy to read. Now, the bad news. No matter where I drove in San Diego, I was going NE. I drove all around my park and the direction never changed.
