Long lasting battery and easy interface, but not very accurate For the price, this is a good hiking GPS, but there are a few good points that should be brought up before you purchase it. To start with, it might be good to know that, although it does not mention it in the description, it does not show routes or the actual line track of where you went. It just shows the direction in the form of a compass. Also, you cannot set a destination unless you have already set it as a waypoint and saved it to the device memory. Not for anyone with someplace to be. I bought this as a safety measure for when I take the kids hiking I can be sure to always get up back to the car, expecting to at least know the general direction to be heading as the crow flies. I don’t think I’m asking too much from this device. It does not perform. I’ve read all the instructions, I watched all the videos I could find and here is what I found.The compass has to be recalibrate every time you turn it on. It turns itself off after 4 minutes.
