the performance of the fan was better than expected This is actually a “double review”: First, the fan worked very well, kept the air flow consistent, was quiet, forceful, and actually matched a lot of the reviews that showed when I ordered/purchased! But, Second, it only worked for about 3-4 hours before it slowed and then stopped. Others complained of the same problem. 7 years later, still going strong We have had five of these fans for 7 years, which I purchased from Amazon. These little fans are lifesavers! I am back to buy more. Latest use? Hurricane Irma. One set of batteries in each of them, shy of 36 hours in constant use, on low, provided plenty of airflow to mange sleep in the extreme heat of south Florida with the shutters still up and no real airflow otherwise. The batteries still have juice in them.For an ideal set up, I would recommend 2 fans per person for sleeping…
Shoddy construction, very loud vibrating noise, pushes very little air. This product is a joke. It’s terrible. It pushes very little air, and is incredibly loud. And not “fan blowing air” loud, but poorly constructed, rattling loud. At first I thought the vibrating/rattling noise was just the way it was sitting, but it is actually just the way the thing is built. The fan shroud rattles, as does the motor area itself. It sounded like I was running a generator in my camper…at times I thought I was going to get dinged for violating the generator hour rules…
