Awesome! I’ve been camping and hiking all my life and I have to say that this little solid fuel cooking system is awesome! I’ve used Esbit solid fuel tabs for awhile now and they’re wonderful – I keep tabs in my 10 essentials kit.I got this little baby just for fun and to see what I could do with it and thus far I’m more than impressed. Super compact, well made, super light, and super easy to use. I got this model because of the built-in windscreen design (needed to maximize solid fuel efficiency)…
Great compact stove/cookset….but. Yes there it is a “but” in the title line. And it’s there for a good reason this is a great set with limitations from it’s design. It’s fuel source is Esbit solid fuel (Hexamine) tablets. A tablet is placed in the tray and lit with a match or lighter the tablet will burn with a steady heat for about 10-14 minutes usually enough time to boil 16oz of water for your freeze dried meals, for a hot drink or to warm the entrée of your MRE.The tablet burns with an all-or-nothing attitude…
until now after 30 days using it I can say that it is the best and it helps me prepare my food without problem
