**UPDATED I am careful to sit down slowly and easily, as I know my weight and the effects … I purchased these chairs for a week long backpacking trip in the U.P. of Michigan, and hopefully for many more uses ahead. The description states they are rated for up to 330 pounds of weight, however I have found this to be untrue, or I received a faulty chair.
