Absolutely does not work as advertised. If you need nmea0183 run away from this unit. I have been a garmin user since ~1999 time frame. I have spent literally thousands of dollars on garmin products over the years. I have to say the last several things I have bought have been a bit disappointing. Typical of the last sever items it doesn’t appear that the software is complete on the 276CX. Like many people who have purchased this I bought it to replace my old 276c, but this unit doesn’t have near the capability of the old 276c the NMEA0183 in/out doesn’t work, it won’t read depth…
Old Name re intraduced 🙁 I have owned many Garmin’s ( 5o or more) so I loved to see the 276 come back, fantastic screen! It is really bulky and it fits in the Montana power mount! However the screen refresh rate is terrible and the software is not up to par with the old 276 line, which had many interesting features were you could overlay your routes and have them always show on the screen, other wise the software is very basic and you are back to hunt and peck push buttons 3-4 times to input a single character if you…
