If you have maps you purchased on a microSD, they will work. If you downloaded to your own microSD and placed them in another unit, they will not work. I purchased this unit to replace my aging E-Trex. I was told by the Garmin Support desk that my existing maps would work with the new unit. Nothing could be further from the truth. The maps that I downloaded years ago for my E-Trex to CD could not be loaded onto this device because the product key only works on one unit.
