Great durable bag, with just a few complaints I bought this bag in preparation for a 2 week trip to the Honduran Cloud/Rainforest. I needed a bag that would carry literally everything I’d need for this two week trip which added up to a bunch of cloths, a sleeping bag, and all the little things like toothbrush, toothpaste, sunscreen, bug spray, talcum powder, plus a wet suit for scuba diving, My results with this bag was mixed.Pros: The fabric feels very durable. Comfortable pack, great customer service I am a beginning backpacker, so I was looking for an affordable yet well-rated pack. After hearing good reviews, I settled on the Explorer 55 by High Sierra. I used it fully packed over a couple of days covering 30+ miles on the AT. The pack was comfortable to wear even with a full load. However, one of the load-lifter straps began to tear loose from the shoulder strap at the stitching. I called High Sierra and after a phone call and an email, they offered to replace the entire pack. Great bag! Great bag for the price! This was my first backpacking bag so I don’t want to buy something super expensive just in case I never used it again. I took it to Belize for a 12 day trip and it had enough room for all my stuff. It sure was heavy though! I also brought it as my carry on on the way there and no one told me I needed to check it even though it’s definitely larger than a carry on size. I will be taking it camping at the end of the month! The only thing that would make this bag better…
