For those wondering….the bottom edge in front has a stiff collar (on the OR advanced bivy….they supply a second pole) so you’re saving 7 oz weight and still get the same functionality.I was out in the Stanislaus NF (Dardanelles area) and it rained, snowed and hailed a little while I was there.
