I bought the upgraded ones that are water and dust proof from the same company and the new ones are great. The Retevis RT21 Two Way Radio 16 CH UHF 400-480MHz VOX Scrambler Ham Radio (5 Pack) and 2 Pin Covert Air Acoustic Earpiece (5 Pack are not well made and low quality but then again they were only a hundred dollars which is a pretty good deal for the price.I then bought the upgraded RT6 that are water and dust proof and work really great which is very clear and strong reception with or without the ear piece which I use with my friends for riding motorcycles.I really lover these…

Impressive radios & good performance Anytime you get something cheap on Amazon you wonder if they are going to work as expected, and these little radios turned out to be awesome. The range is impressive, and although they worked straight out of the box I ordered the programming cable and software so that I could put in legal frequencies and our licensed business frequency.
