The TETON Sports Talus 2700 is a lightweight and technical pack made to meet the demands of any skill level. It’s extremely lightweight, yet strong and durable with heavy-duty components and a treated 420D Oxford shell that can stand up to even the roughest terrain in the most extreme parts of the world. It’s perfect for weekend backpacking trips or mountain expeditions. This pack has a 44-Liter pack volume with nearly limitless features that include multiple gear ties and gear loops that make carrying extra gear very simple; the main compartment opens completely for easy internal access; pack has dual daisy chains for external gear attachment; and a zippered waist belt pocket ideal for carrying a phone or other handheld device. It also has oversized zipper pulls on the exterior pockets and main compartment zipper that make getting in and out of your pack easy even with gloved fingers. The Talus 2700 provides superior comfort and a precise fit with the help of tension adjustments at the shoulders, chest, and torso. Aluminum stays provide strength and support right where you need it. The dual waist belt has wishbone construction to sit comfortably on your hips. A thickly padded lumbar area provides exceptional lower back comfort. Other comfort features include thick shoulder pads and air channels along your back to maximize air circulation. The Talus 2700 is also hydration compatible with an integrated Velcro hang tab for easily hanging your hydration bladder. Room enough for a large 3-Liter bladder. Bonus features include: Two large mesh pockets to fit water bottles or other items requiring easy accessibility, multiple side compression straps, and an upper compression strap help keep gear cinched tight to reduce pack shift.

Blown away with the Quality and options of this pack. I originally ordered this bag for my 8 year old son who is always going on outings with me and wanted a bag to carry all his kit. I measured to his tail bone which, once the pack arrived I soon found out was a little too long for him. The pack is super adjustable.. More Expensive Isn’t Always Better I just purchased the Talus 2700 backpack from Teton Sports and couldn’t be more thrilled. You know we tend to think and believe the more expensive the product, the better it is. But, this very reasonably priced backpack debunks that rationale.
