It’s going to be 14 feet long if you hang it with Diamond Form. But if you set it up in Rectangle (A-Frame) Form, it’s 10 feet long. Most Hammocks are about 9 feet long. So it should work fine.

Going to give it a second try As soon as I opened it is noticed that two of the nylon ropes were defective. The white inner part of the cord was hanging out of the orange outer sheath and it was knotted up and couldn’t be fixed. The very first time I put it up one of the anchors bent with very little force (hand pressing in to soft mud) and both the cloth lines that hold the center up ripped. Great tarp for many types of outtings Very good large tarp that makes room for a lot of things during bad weather. Perfect for hammock camping, tent camping as an extra bit of protection or to use as a tarp shelter. Very happy with it and have used it several times since it arrived. I did add some web nylon straps but I have to do that with all my camping and backpacking tarps. Grommets will eventually tear. It’s decent but not great. If you choose to buy this tarp It’s decent but not great. If you choose to buy this tarp, be prepared to fix it. Like many others, 3 out of the 4 grommets failed on mine as I set up my shelter. The good news being that the rip-stop fabric did its job, and the damage was limited. A permanent fix will be possible, but it’s still a pain in the butt.Other good news being that it’s light weight, and most certainly is waterproof.
