Best for car camping applications vice backpacking I am certain this sleeping pad would have performed exceptionally well in the cold as a ground insulating layer under my Exped Downmat UL sleeping pad. I decided to return because of the size when rolled up. As a closed cell foam, it is large and didn’t fit on the outside of the pack well enough for me. Helped keep me warm at 23F temperatures I used this sleeping pad underneath a ThermaRest Basecamp L self inflating mattress, in a tent that also used a footprint.
