Waterproof specifications
The Atlantis 270 is a submersible radio, complying with floating JIS7/IPX7 water-resistant standards. The radio can be submerged in 1 meter of water for 30 minutes without damage. This radio is great when camping, hiking, or rafting. After the radio is submerged in water, the sound may appear distorted from water still remaining in and around the speaker and microphone. Just shake the radio to clear excess water, and the sound should return to normal. If your radio is exposed to salt water, clean it thoroughly with fresh water and dry it before turning it on. The charger is not waterproof.
All NOAA Weather Channels with Weather Alert
This radio comes pre-programmed with NOAA weather channels. The Emergency/Weather Alert allows it to function as a severe weather warning radio and will also alert you to any local or national emergencies. If the NOAA issues warning while this feature is turned On, the radio sounds an alert tone. You will then hear the emergency/weather broadcast.

But the battery performance simply isn’t up to the promise.I’ve now used this radio about 10 times, enough for the battery to be well seasoned. Today I switched it on, with a fully charged battery, at 10am as we pulled away from the dock. At 3:30pm, just 5 1/2 hours later, there was only one bar showing for the battery…
Can’t go overnight with this radio, or at least manufacturer doesn’t supply charger for boat outlets unless 120-volt 2-prong. Product delivered 7/28 and I emailed critical question that day directly to manufacturer through their web site. It is now 8/5 and I have not had any inkling of a response. So, I will return the product. That sucks. Here’s the problem, and it may apply to you. The radio arrives with a charging cradle, and a two-prong 120-volt charging cradle to power the cradle. There is no possible way to charge the radio on common boats with 12-volt systems and either USB ports or cigarette…
