US Military Genuine Issue Complete 4 Piece Modular Sleeping Bag System
The MSS sleeping bags and other components are constructed to be used in conjunction with each other, or separately to complete an interoperable system known as the extreme cold weather sleeping bag. The MSS is designed to provide comfort in temperatures ranging from 50°F to -50°F when wearing various layers of extreme cold weather clothing. The Water proof Bivy Cover is produced utilizing waterproof, moisture-vapor-permeable material with all seams heat sealed. The Compression Stuff Sack is constructed with water resistant materials with adequate volume for both bags as well as the Bivy cover. This unique sack compresses the system to one cubit foot.

Not what I ordered, gave the seller the chance to make up, and they fell short. I ordered the New, unissued items and what I received was good to very good, NOT new. I contacted the seller and asked for them to make it right (accepting that everyone does make a mistake now and then). The seller after I sent photos showing that the items where not new (holes, dirt and coatings worn off) agreed to send out replacements and a pick up label. 15 Degrees and Snowing, No Tent; Still Warm When I took this bag for a spin it was 15 degrees and snowing. I made the mistake of wearing too many insulating layers inside my bag and had to take those off. At first I thought the bivy would be constricting. Ultimately I used my boot to prop open the flap and slept with the bivy over my head. When I woke up I had 1″ of snow on top of me and 3″ all around. It was warm enough that I didn’t want to get out of bed. I was completely dry. As the sun had come up I could have stayed there…
