It is the perfect size for him (he is two) I purchased this back pack for my son, who loves it. It is the perfect size for him (he is two), I was concerned that it would be to big. It has a ton of space to hold everything we would need on a trip. I love the harness and the fact that a strap can be attached to the back of it. Edited I had higher expectations for this product. After reading reviews and looking at photos I thought it was going to be different. I ordered two of these, one for each of my twins to take with them on a flight we are taking soon. But these backpacks are much smaller than expected. I could hardly fit anything I needed inside them. So I have to buy two new backpacks before our flight now.
